Good news as food hygiene ratings awarded to two North Tyneside restaurants

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of North Tyneside’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them both.

Acorn & Oak Soft Play, at Unit 1, 305 Whitley Road, Whitley Bay, Tyne And Wear was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on July 20.

And Luis, at 2 Livingstone View, Tynemouth, Tyne And Wear was also given a score of five on July 14.

It means that of North Tyneside's 285 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 228 (80%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
