New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of North Tyneside’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them both.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of North Tyneside’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them both.

Cassia Silverlink, at Osprey Drive, Wallsend, Tyne And Wear was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on January 2.

And No Fret, at 52 South Parade, Whitley Bay, Tyne And Wear was also given a score of five on December 20.

It means that of North Tyneside's 279 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 222 (80%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
