A North Tyneside drinking establishment has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

The Jolly Bowman And Burgers Inc, a pub, bar or nightclub at The Jolly Bowman, Addington Drive, Wallsend, Tyne And Wear was given the score after assessment on March 15, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of North Tyneside's 139 pubs, bars and nightclubs with ratings, 123 (88%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
