A North Tyneside restaurant has been handed a new five-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Cullercoats Coffee, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at 22a - 24 John Street, Cullercoats, Tyne And Wear was given the maximum score after assessment on July 4, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of North Tyneside's 258 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 214 (83%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
