A North Tyneside restaurant has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Cottage Kitchen, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at 1 Bedford House, Saville Street, North Shields, Tyne And Wear was given the score after assessment on March 31, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of North Tyneside's 281 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 222 (79%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
