A North Tyneside restaurant has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Dil And The Bear, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at Units 4 To 7 Whitley Bay Metro Station, Station Square, Whitley Bay, Tyne And Wear was given the score after assessment on July 13, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of North Tyneside's 284 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 225 (79%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
