A North Tyneside restaurant has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

A North Tyneside restaurant has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

The Yellow Rose Tearoom, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at Cemetery Lodge At, Whitley New Cemetery, The Links, Whitley Bay was given the score after assessment on January 28, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of North Tyneside's 266 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 216 (81%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
