A North Tyneside restaurant has been handed a new three-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Porky's, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at 3 - 9 Union Quay, North Shields, Tyne And Wear was given the score after assessment on April 19, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of North Tyneside's 283 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 226 (80%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
