North Tyneside road closures: five for motorists to avoid over the next fortnight
North Tyneside's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

Hide AdThe latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:
• A19, from 8pm February 7 to 6am February 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 eastbound, Seaton Burn to Dudley lane, lane closures and diversion route for works off network.
And a further four closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• A19, from 8pm February 14 to 6am February 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 northbound, Holystone to Killingworth, Lane closure for inspection/survey on behalf of National highways.

Hide Ad• A19, from 8pm February 19 to 6am February 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 southbound, Howdon interchange exit slip road lane closure for electrical works.
• A19, from 8pm February 20 to 6am February 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 southbound, Killingworth to Holystone, Lane closure for inspection/survey works.
• A19, from 8pm February 26 to 6am February 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 northbound, Silverlink to Holystone lane closure for technology equipment.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
