North Tyneside road closures: five for motorists to avoid this week

North Tyneside's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

North Tyneside's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A19, from 8pm December 6 2021 to 6am April 2 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 northbound and southbound, Holystone, carriageway closures for structures work.

And a further four closures will begin over the next seven days:

A19, from 9pm January 24 to 6am January 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 northbound, Moor Farm to Fisher Lane, carraigeway closure for drainage works.

A19, from 8pm February 1 to 6am February 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 eastbound and westbound, Fisher Lane to Moor Farm, Lane closures for horticultural works.

A19, from 8pm February 2 to 6am February 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 eastbound and westbound, Moor Farm to Killingworth, Lane closures for drainage works.

A19, from 8pm February 3 to 6am February 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 eastbound and westbound, Killingworth to Holystone, Lane closures for drainage works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
