North Tyneside's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• A19, from 8pm October 17 to 6am October 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 northbound and southbound, Silverlink to Howdon, Lane closure for inspection/survey works.
• A19, from 8pm December 6 2021 to 6am October 22 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 northbound and southbound, Holystone, carriageway closures for structures work.

• A1, from midnight, August 2 to 6am October 23, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A19 northbound and southbound, Moorfarm to Fisher Lane. Carriageway closures, lane closure, with 24 hour speed restrictions and Lay-by closures for carriageway improvment works.
And a further two closures will begin over the next seven days:
• A19, from 8pm October 26 to 6am October 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 northbound, Moorfarm to Killingworth, Lane closure for drainage works.

• A19, from 8pm October 27 to 6am October 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 northbound, Killingworth to Holystone, Lane closure for drainage works.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
