North Tyneside road closures: four for motorists to avoid this week

North Tyneside's motorists will have four road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

A19, from 8pm December 6 2021 to 6am May 12 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 northbound and southbound, Holystone, carriageway closures for structures work.

A19, from 8pm February 21 to 6am May 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 northbound and southbound, Killingworth, slip road closures for street lighting works.

A19, from 8pm April 20 to 6am June 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 northbound and southbound, Seaton Burn to Howdon, mobile lane closure for inspection/survey works.

And one more closure will begin over the next seven days:

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
