North Tyneside's motorists will have four road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing a wait of between 10 minutes and half an hour.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that four closures are due to start this week:
• A19, from 8pm February 25 to 6am February 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 southbound, Killingworth to Holystone, Lane closure for inspection works.
• A19, from 8pm February 26 to 6am March 6, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A19 northbound and southbound, Killingworth to Dudley lane, carriageway closures for maintenance works.
• A19, from 8pm March 4 to 8am March 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 southbound, Killingworth to Holystone, Lane closure for inspection/survey on behalf of National Highways.
• A19, from 8pm March 5 to 6am May 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 northbound, Holystone Interchange, carriageway closures and lane closures for structural painting works.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
