North Tyneside's motorists will have six road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

North Tyneside's motorists will have six road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A19, from 8pm July 2 to 6am November 29, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A19 northbound and southbound, Moorfarm to Killingworth, carriageway closures and 24hr lane closures for resurfacing works.

And a further five closures will begin over the next two weeks:

A19, from 8pm November 20 to 6am November 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 North and southbound, Holystone to Silverlink lane closure for Vehicle safety fence Repair.

A1, from 8pm November 21 to 6am November 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A1 northbound and southbound, junction 79 to junction 80, Lane closure for drainage works.

A19, from 8pm November 24 to 6am November 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 southbound, Howdon to Tunnel , Lane closure for signs erection on behalf of Non-Statutory Body.

A19, from 8pm November 29 to 6am November 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 southbound, Moor Farm to Killingworth lane closure for Horticultural works.

A1, from 8pm December 1 to 6am December 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A1 northbound, junction 79 to 80 lane closure for Horticultural works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
