North Tyneside's motorists will have three road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing a wait of between 10 and 30 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:
• A1, from midnight, August 2 to 6am October 23, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A19 northbound and southbound, Moorfarm to Fisher Lane. Carriageway closures, lane closure, with 24 hour speed restrictions and Lay-by closures for carriageway improvment works.
And a further two closures will begin over the next seven days:
• A19, from 8pm October 3 to 6am October 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 northbound and southbound, Killingworth to Holystone, Lane closure for inspection/survey work.
• A19, from 8pm October 17 to 6am October 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 northbound and southbound, Silverlink to Howdon, Lane closure for inspection/survey works.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
