A North Tyneside takeaway has been handed a new five-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Turkish Delight, a takeaway at 44 Park View, Whitley Bay, Tyne And Wear was given the maximum score after assessment on September 25, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of North Tyneside's 186 takeaways with ratings, 111 (60%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
