A North Tyneside takeaway has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Vinny's The Sandwich Shop, a takeaway at 10 Lodge Terrace, Wallsend, Tyne And Wear was given the score after assessment on January 31, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of North Tyneside's 182 takeaways with ratings, 103 (57%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
