A North Tyneside takeaway has been handed a new two-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

A North Tyneside takeaway has been handed a new two-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

The George Stephenson Inc Get Smashed., a takeaway at George Stephenson Inn, Great Lime Road, West Moor, Newcastle Upon Tyne was given the score after assessment on May 18, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of North Tyneside's 192 takeaways with ratings, 116 (60%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
