A North Tyneside takeaway has been handed a new three-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Pizza Royal, a takeaway at 5 Phoenix Chase, North Shields, Tyne And Wear was given the score after assessment on January 4, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of North Tyneside's 190 takeaways with ratings, 105 (55%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
