A North Tyneside takeaway has been handed a new zero-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Amigo Pizza, a takeaway at Unit C, Foxhunters Industrial Estate, Foxhunters Road, Whitley Bay was given the minimum score after assessment on October 16, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of North Tyneside's 190 takeaways with ratings, 108 (57%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
