A North Tyneside takeaway has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

The Bronx, a takeaway at 178 Brookland Terrace, New York, North Shields, Tyne And Wear was given the score after assessment on March 8, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of North Tyneside's 183 takeaways with ratings, 106 (58%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
