A North Tyneside takeaway has been handed a new three-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Marshalls, a takeaway at 33 Front Street, Tynemouth, Tyne And Wear was given the score after assessment on June 26, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of North Tyneside's 191 takeaways with ratings, 114 (60%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
