A North Tyneside takeaway has been handed a new three-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Red Coral Chop Suey House, a takeaway at 11 Station Road, Whitley Bay, Tyne And Wear was given the score after assessment on September 12, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of North Tyneside's 186 takeaways with ratings, 110 (59%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
