Road closures: eight for North Tyneside drivers this week

Drivers in and around North Tyneside will have eight National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that eight closures are due to start this week:

• A19, from 8pm January 16 to 6am January 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 northbound and southbound, Fisher lane to Moor farm, Lane closure for drainage works.

• A19, from 8pm January 16 to 6am January 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 southbound, Silverlink to Howdon, Lane closure sign erection.

• A19, from 8pm January 17 to 6am January 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 northbound and southbound, Fisher Lane to Moor Farm, Lane closures for drainage works.

• A19, from 8pm to 11pm on January 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 northbound, Silver link exit slip road, Lane closure for drainage works.

• A19, from 11pm January 19 to 6am January 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 northbound, Holystone exit slip road and entry slip road, Lane closure for drainage works.

• A19, from 8pm January 20 to 6am January 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 northbound, Killingworth to Moor Farm, Lane closure for drainage works.

• A19, from 8pm January 23 to 6am January 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 northbound and southbound, Holystone to Howdon, Lane closures for drainage works.

• A19, from 8pm January 30 to 6am January 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 northbound, Silver link circularity lane closure.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
