Drivers in and around North Tyneside will have four National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that four closures are due to start this week:

A19, from 8pm October 24 to 6am October 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 north and southbound, Silverlink round about lane closure for drainage work.

A1, from 8pm October 26 to 6am October 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 northbound and southbound, Fisher Lane, Lane closure for drainage works.

A19, from 8pm October 26 to 6am October 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 northbound, Moorfarm to Killingworth, Lane closure for drainage works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
