Road closures: four for North Tyneside drivers this week

Drivers in and around North Tyneside will have four National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

Drivers in and around North Tyneside will have four National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a wait of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A19, from 8pm March 15 to 6am March 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 northbound, Howdon to Silverlink, Lane closure for drainage works.

And a further three closures will begin over the next seven days:

A19, from 8pm March 27 to 6am April 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A19 northbound and southbound, Moorfarm roundabout to Killingworth interchange, carriageway closures for renewal works.

A19, from 8pm March 27 to 6am March 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 Circular, Silverlink Interchange, Lane closure for drainage works.

A19, from 8pm April 3 to 5am April 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 northbound, Holystone, Lane closure for maintenance works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
