Road closures: six for North Tyneside drivers this week

Drivers in and around North Tyneside will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A19, from 8pm July 4 to 2am July 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 northbound and southbound, Fisher Lane roundabout to Howdon, Lane closures for asset condition inspections.

And a further five closures will begin over the next seven days:

A19, from 8pm July 18 to 6am July 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 northbound and southbound, Killingworth to Holystone, Lane closure for horticultural works.

A19, from 8pm July 19 to 6am July 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 northbound and southbound, Holystone to Howdon, Lane closure for horticultural works.

A19, from 8pm July 20 to 6am July 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 northbound and southbound, Fisher Lane to Moor Farm, Lane closure for horticultural works.

A19, from 8pm July 22 to 6am July 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 northbound, ansd southbound, Killingworth to Middle engine Lane , Lane two closure for horticultural works.

A19, from 8pm July 25 to 6am July 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 southbound, Moorfarm to Killingworth, carriageway closure for electrical works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
