Road closures: three for North Tyneside drivers this week

Drivers in and around North Tyneside will have three National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

But motorists will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures are due to start this week:

• A19, from 8pm July 4 to 2am July 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 northbound and southbound, Fisher Lane roundabout to Howdon, Lane closures for asset condition inspections.

• A19, from 8pm July 7 to 6am July 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 northbound and southbound, Moorfarm to Killingworth, Lane closure for horticultural works.

• A19, from 8pm July 18 to 6am July 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 northbound and southbound, Killingworth to Holystone, Lane closure for horticultural works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
