Road closures: three for North Tyneside drivers this week

Drivers in and around North Tyneside will have three National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A19, from 8pm July 29 to 6am August 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 northbound and southbound, Moorfarm to Killingworth, carriageway closures and lane closures for critical patching works.

And a further two closures will begin over the next seven days:

A1, from midnight, August 2 to 6am October 23, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A19 northbound and southbound, Moorfarm to Fisher Lane. Carriageway closures, lane closure, with 24 hour speed restrictions and Lay-by closures for carriageway improvment works.

A19, from 10pm August 5 to 5am August 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 northbound. Holystone, Lane closure for maintenance works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
