Drivers in and around North Tyneside will have three National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a wait of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

Most Popular

A19, from 8pm November 6 to 6am December 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A19 northbound and southbound, Killingworth to Holystone, carriageway closures, slip road closures and lane closures for carriageway resurfacing.

And a further two closures will begin over the next seven days:

A19, from 8pm November 16 to 6am November 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 southbound, Moorfarm to Killingworth, carriageway closure for electrical works.

A19, from 8pm November 26 to 8am December 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 southbound, Killingworth to Holystone, Lane closure for inspection works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
