Drivers in and around North Tyneside will have three National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
And two of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing holdups of between 10 minutes and half an hour.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• A19, from 8pm November 6 to 6am December 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A19 northbound and southbound, Killingworth to Holystone, carriageway closures, slip road closures and lane closures for carriageway resurfacing.
• A19, from 8pm November 26 to 8am December 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 southbound, Killingworth to Holystone, Lane closure for inspection works.
And one more closure will begin over the next seven days:
• A19, from 8pm December 12 to 6am December 17, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A19 northbound and southbound, Killingworth, slip road closures and lane closures for works off network.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
