Road closures: two for North Tyneside drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around North Tyneside will have two National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And they are both are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• A19, from 8pm July 2 to 6am November 4, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A19 northbound and southbound, Moorfarm to Killingworth, carriageway closures and 24hr lane closures for resurfacing works.

And one more closure will begin over the next two weeks:

• A19, from 8pm September 17 to 6am December 9, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A19 northbound and southbound, Holystone, carriageway closures for structural works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
