Food hygiene ratings given to two South Tyneside takeaways

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of South Tyneside’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Marsden Chinese, at 85 Lake Avenue, South Shields, Tyne & Wear was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on September 27.

And Rice and Spice, at 3 Binchester Street, South Shields, Tyne & Wear was given a score of three on October 10.

It means that of South Tyneside's 146 takeaways with ratings, 68 (47%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
