Food hygiene ratings handed to two South Tyneside establishments

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of South Tyneside’s pubs, bars or nightclubs, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of South Tyneside’s pubs, bars or nightclubs, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Whitburn Golf Club Ltd, at Lizard Lane, South Shields, Tyne & Wear was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on March 14.

And The Travelling Man, at Newcastle Road, West Boldon, Tyne & Wear was given a score of four on March 11.

It means that of South Tyneside's 130 pubs, bars and nightclubs with ratings, 78 (60%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
