A South Tyneside drinking establishment has been handed a new one-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

A South Tyneside drinking establishment has been handed a new one-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Alchemy, a pub, bar or nightclub at 48 Chichester Road, South Shields, Tyne & Wear was given the score after assessment on March 22, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of South Tyneside's 127 pubs, bars and nightclubs with ratings, 76 (60%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
