A South Tyneside drinking establishment has been handed a new three-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

The Steamboat Public House, a pub, bar or nightclub at 27 Mill Dam, South Shields, Tyne & Wear was given the score after assessment on April 17, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of South Tyneside's 126 pubs, bars and nightclubs with ratings, 74 (59%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
