A South Tyneside drinking establishment has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

A South Tyneside drinking establishment has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

The Caledonian Hotel, a pub, bar or nightclub at 52 Lyon Street, Hebburn, Tyne & Wear was given the score after assessment on December 18, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of South Tyneside's 121 pubs, bars and nightclubs with ratings, 76 (63%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
