A South Tyneside drinking establishment has been handed a new three-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

The White Horse, a pub, bar or nightclub at Quarry Lane, South Shields, Tyne & Wear was given the score after assessment on January 27, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of South Tyneside's 130 pubs, bars and nightclubs with ratings, 76 (58%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
