A South Tyneside drinking establishment has been handed a new three-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

A South Tyneside drinking establishment has been handed a new three-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Mumbai Emperor, a pub, bar or nightclub at 337-339 Stanhope Road, South Shields, Tyne & Wear was given the score after assessment on June 21, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of South Tyneside's 130 pubs, bars and nightclubs with ratings, 78 (60%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
