A South Tyneside drinking establishment has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

A South Tyneside drinking establishment has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Elmfield Social Club, a pub, bar or nightclub at Campbell Park Road, Hebburn, Tyne & Wear was given the score after assessment on December 5, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of South Tyneside's 127 pubs, bars and nightclubs with ratings, 76 (60%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
