A South Tyneside restaurant has been handed a new five-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

A South Tyneside restaurant has been handed a new five-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Epinay Cafe, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at South Shields Community School, Nevinson Avenue, South Shields, Tyne & Wear was given the maximum score after assessment on February 17, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of South Tyneside's 178 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 117 (66%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
