A South Tyneside restaurant has been handed a new five-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Temple Park Leisure Centre, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at Leisure Pool/Waterline Bar, Temple Park Centre, Temple Memorial Park, South Shields was given the maximum score after assessment on April 19, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of South Tyneside's 176 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 118 (67%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
