A South Tyneside restaurant has been handed a new five-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Rosies Cafe, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at 6 Viking Precinct, Jarrow, Tyne & Wear was given the maximum score after assessment on January 24, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of South Tyneside's 185 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 123 (66%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
