A South Tyneside restaurant has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

A South Tyneside restaurant has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Tandoori Internationale, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at 97 Ocean Road, South Shields, Tyne & Wear was given the score after assessment on February 24, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of South Tyneside's 179 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 119 (66%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
