A South Tyneside restaurant has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Volare, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at 2 St Bedes, East Boldon, Tyne & Wear was given the score after assessment on March 23, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of South Tyneside's 176 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 118 (67%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
