A South Tyneside restaurant has been handed a new three-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

A South Tyneside restaurant has been handed a new three-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Asda Cafe, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at 15 Coronation Street, South Shields, Tyne & Wear was given the score after assessment on September 15, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of South Tyneside's 171 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 111 (65%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
