A South Tyneside restaurant has been handed a new three-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Life of Riley South Shields, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at 7 Mile End Road, South Shields, Tyne & Wear was given the score after assessment on April 21, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of South Tyneside's 194 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 123 (63%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
