South Tyneside restaurant handed new food hygiene rating

A South Tyneside restaurant has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Apna Gar, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at 124 Ocean Road, South Shields, Tyne & Wear was given the score after assessment on July 4, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of South Tyneside's 197 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 127 (64%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
