A South Tyneside restaurant has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

A South Tyneside restaurant has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Eltio, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at 172 Ocean Road, South Shields, Tyne & Wear was given the score after assessment on January 31, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of South Tyneside's 183 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 122 (67%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
