A South Tyneside restaurant has been handed a new three-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

A South Tyneside restaurant has been handed a new three-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Sunderland AFC, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at Academy Of Light, Sunderland Road, Cleadon, Tyne & Wear was given the score after assessment on August 11, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of South Tyneside's 174 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 110 (63%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
